Recovery Advocacy Day - September 22, 2020

Building imageThe Pennsylvania Association of County Drug and Alcohol Administrators (PACDAA), a CCAP affiliate, will be hosting its sixth annual Recovery Advocacy Day. This year will be a free virtual event on September 22, 2020. The event will be held virtually from 10:00-1:00pm with members of the recovery community, family members, and will include re-marks from several legislators. More information about the event can be found on Facebook at Courage to Change Recovery Advocacy Day.

Recovery Advocacy Day aims to raise awareness of substance use conditions, celebrates individuals in recovery, and acknowledges the work of prevention, treatment and recovery support services.  In order to do this, participants are invited to meet with legislators, share their story and convey a message of hope.

Counties remain focused on preventing substance misuse and continue to seek strong state and local partnerships, as well as increased capacity for prevention, intervention and treatment to effectively address substance abuse.
